KARACHI (Khyber Mail): The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at the University of Karachi (UoK) has admitted 80 students to its prestigious M.Phil. and Ph.D. Programme for the year 2023.
A spokesperson for ICCBS – University of Karachi announced that the admission process for the ICCBS M.Phil. and Ph.D. Programme-2023 involved a rigorous admission test, attracting a large number of candidates.
According to the international center’s policy, all admissions have been granted to students strictly based on merit, as per the University of Karachi’s higher learning program.
The spokesperson stated, “The international center has offered admission to 80 candidates, comprising 35 for MPhil and 45 for Ph.D. programs.” Among the admitted students, 57 individuals (25 for M.Phil. and 32 for Ph.D.) have been welcomed into the H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi. Additionally, 23 students (10 for M.Phil. and 13 for Ph.D.) have been admitted to the Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research, University of Karachi.
These admissions encompass a variety of scientific disciplines, including Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Bio-Organic Chemistry, Pharmacology, Molecular Medicine (covering areas such as Molecular and Cellular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Molecular Pharmacology, Neuro-Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Computational Drug Discovery, Structural Biology, Stem Cell Research, and Molecular Pathology), among others.
