MADINAH (Saudi Arabia) (Agencies): The government of Pakistan bestowed the civil award Hilal-i-Pakistan upon Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the Governor of Madinah Munawarah, on Wednesday.
The award recognizes Prince Faisal’s exceptional services to Pakistan. Pakistan’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq, presented the award to Prince Faisal at a ceremony held at the Governor’s Office in Madinah.
Ambassador Ahmad, on the occasion, emphasized that the award reflects the strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, highlighting their ongoing cooperation in areas of mutual interest. He also expressed the profound respect that the people of Pakistan hold for the Saudi royal family and the custodians of the holy mosques.
Prince Faisal Bin Salman expressed gratitude to the people of Pakistan for the award, underscoring the deep-rooted brotherly relations embedded in historical, cultural, and religious bonds. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia values and cherishes this enduring relationship at all levels.
Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud has been actively engaged with various charity and development organizations, including the Sultana Foundation in Pakistan. Since 1990, over 120,000 students have graduated from the schools operated by this foundation.
In his role as the Governor of Madinah, Prince Faisal played a crucial role in facilitating the Pakistani workforce employed in the Kingdom. His active support has ensured efficient service delivery from the government of Saudi Arabia, covering the early processing of death compensation claims, end-of-service benefits, fine waivers for prisoners, and other labor rights of Pakistani workers in the Kingdom.
