Jeddah (Agencies): Saudi Arabia has achieved a remarkable milestone by constructing the world’s first-ever 3D-printed mosque. This groundbreaking feat outpaces the ambitions of Dubai, UAE, which had its own plans to create a 3D-printed mosque by early 2025.
The mosque’s inauguration coincides with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan.
Named in honor of the late businessman Abdulaziz Abdullah Sharbatly, the mosque graces Jeddah’s Al-Jawhara suburb. His wife, Saudi businesswoman Wajnat Abdulwahed, paid tribute to him through this architectural marvel. The project utilized 3D printers from the Chinese manufacturer Guanli.
Spanning an impressive 5,600 square meters, the recently unveiled mosque is part of the National Housing Co.’s portfolio. Dignitaries, government officials, and business leaders gathered to witness this fusion of tradition and technology. As worshippers step inside, they enter a new era of mosque design and construction. ??
