We all love gadgets, and we all want them to be waterproof, heat proof and with guarantee, which makes us secure about the future and gives us confidence that in future it will work and guarantee it will prolong life. In terms of humans, what things are way too important that our children are future-proof? Stuck. Yes, we have all become stuck because in 2020, the world has a 180 degree change and now those who cope with time, adjust themselves and won’t be rigid with their change have succeeded. Does our educational system teach our beloved new generation about the future? Do they future proof? Are our private schools teaching the basic values of the human race? The core concern is that our children are excelling in many areas of life, but in terms of training they lack behind.

If I compare our 4-year-old child with the 4-year-old child, it shows that our child’s communication skills have not improved that much as compared to others. The word emotion lags behind us as, along with human beings, we are emotional beings. We need to take care of what our norms, emotions and values are. Excelling just in terms of marks won’t help us to become future-proof.

Future-Proofing Pakistan’s Children: A Call for Holistic Education In today’s rapidly evolving world, it is imperative that Pakistan’s children are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the future. To ensure that they are future-proof, we must foster a holistic education system that goes beyond academic excellence. One crucial aspect of future-proofing our children is to prioritize critical thinking and problem-solving skills. These abilities enable individuals to analyze complex situations, evaluate information, and develop innovative solutions.

By incorporating critical thinking into the curriculum, we can cultivate a generation of young minds capable of adapting to the challenges and opportunities of the future. Furthermore, it is essential to instill in our children a strong sense of values and ethics. In a world that often prioritizes material wealth and instant gratification, it is vital to teach our children the importance of compassion, empathy, and integrity. By fostering these values, we can help them develop a moral compass that will guide them through life’s decisions and contribute positively to society.

Finally, we must invest in technology, education and digital literacy. In the age of information, technology plays a crucial role in almost every aspect of life. By equipping our children with the skills to use technology effectively and responsibly, we can empower them to access knowledge, communicate effectively, and participate fully in the global economy.

These are some solutions which need to be adhered in order to make our children be future-proof.
