Islamabad, Pakistan (Agencies): China has announced plans to send a team of experts to Pakistan to explore the potential of hidden resources worth billions of dollars in the waters of Gwadar. This initiative is part of the broader China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, which aims to enhance economic cooperation and infrastructure development between the two countries.

Gwadar, a port city in southwestern Pakistan’s Balochistan Province, is strategically located on the Arabian Sea and is rich in natural resources, including oil, coal, and gold. The exploration of these resources is expected to significantly boost Pakistan’s economy and create numerous job opportunities for local residents.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised China’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s blue economy and emphasized the strategic importance of maritime security and resource exploration. The collaboration between China and Pakistan in this venture is seen as a step towards achieving greater economic prosperity and regional connectivity.

The Chinese experts will work closely with Pakistani authorities to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the underwater resources and develop plans for their sustainable extraction and utilization. This partnership is expected to strengthen the economic ties between the two countries and contribute to the overall development of the region.
