Islamabad, Pakistan (Agencies): In a significant move to enhance bilateral relations and boost economic ties, Pakistan has announced plans to establish direct air routes to Bangladesh. This initiative is expected to generate over $1 billion in annual revenue, fostering increased trade, tourism, and business opportunities between the two nations.

Bangladesh’s Deputy High Commissioner, SM Mahbub Alam, revealed that the new direct flights will facilitate smoother travel and strengthen economic collaboration. The Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries is also collaborating with Bangladeshi counterparts to organize trade exhibitions aimed at fostering connections between importers and exporters from both countries.

The introduction of direct flights is anticipated to significantly reduce travel time and costs, making it easier for businesses and tourists to travel between Pakistan and Bangladesh. This development is part of a broader effort to enhance connectivity and promote mutual growth.
