Islamabad (Adnan Hameed): The Embassy of Finland in Pakistan celebrated the 107th anniversary of its Independence Day in Islamabad with a vibrant ceremony. Ambassador Hannu Ripatti, alongside the Ambassador of the European Union, Riina Kionka, marked the occasion by cutting a ceremonial cake.

During his opening remarks, Finland’s Ambassador, Hannu Ripatti, stated that the reopening of the embassy is a positive step for both countries. He expressed hope that it would further strengthen bilateral relations by fostering cooperation in various fields, including trade, investment, culture, and more.

He said that his country was eager to work again with Pakistan in diverse areas of mutual interests. He further stated that Finland looks forward to continuing collaboration on shared priorities, addressing challenges, and reaffirming its commitment to human rights. “Our partnership will grow stronger as we deliver results for our people and strengthen our democracies to meet the challenges of the years to come,” he added.

On this commemorative occasion he further expressed his joy on the event of Independence day that the embassy will celebrate its events with enthusiasm in the future after smooth function Pakistan and would enjoy healthy relations in its domain.

The event brought together a diverse gathering of European Union members, ambassadors, and representatives from various international organizations to celebrate Finland’s National Day. Their presence highlighted the significance of the occasion and underscored Finland’s commitment to fostering strong diplomatic and international relations.
