Islamabad (Khyber Mail(): The Pakistan National Heart Association (PANAH) organized a free health festival for journalists and their families at the National Press Club, Islamabad, on December 22. The event aimed to provide free medical consultations, tests, and medicines, reinforcing PANAH’s commitment to the well-being of media professionals.

The festival was spearheaded by PANAH President and renowned cardiac surgeon Major General (retd) Dr. Masood ur Rahman Kayani, along with Secretary General Sanaullah Ghumman and Executive Vice President Col. Shakeel Mirza. Key figures from the media community, including Islamabad Press Club President Azhar Jatoi, RIUJ President Tariq Wirk, and National Press Club Secretary Nayar Ali, played pivotal roles in organizing the event.

A distinguished panel of doctors from various specialties participated in the health fair, including cardiologists, neurosurgeons, gynecologists, pediatricians, and psychiatrists. Notable names included Major General (retd) Dr. Ashoor Khan, Col. Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Mirza, Brig. Dr. Tariq Parvez, and Dr. Zahida, among others.

Throughout the day, journalists and their families received comprehensive medical check-ups, diagnostic tests, and essential medications at no cost. The event was made possible through the collaboration of PANAH and Press Club officials, reflecting a shared dedication to supporting the health of the journalistic community.
