Peshawar (Khyber Mail): The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) UET Peshawar Chapter successfully hosted ASME EFx UET Peshawar 2025, a two-day event held on February 22–23 at the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar. The event brought together students and professionals from leading universities across Pakistan, including NUST, NDU, University of Peshawar, and IIUI, among others.
The event, sponsored by the Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Cheezious Peshawar, Youth Affairs of the Irrigation Department, FES, and Adam Khan Films, kicked off with an inspiring opening ceremony led by Dr. Muhammad Alam Zaib Khan, Advisor ASME, and Prof. Dr. Hamid Ullah, Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Participants competed in a variety of events, including IAM3D, Students Design Competition, Oral Competition Elevator Pitch, British Parliamentary Debate, and E-gaming. The seminar on “Engineering & AI,” organized by the CISNR UET Peshawar, and a panel discussion on women’s entrepreneurial journeys, organized by Code of Pakistan and the Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, provided insightful discussions and knowledge sharing.
The Cultural Night showcased Pakistan’s rich heritage, adding a festive touch to the event. Prof. Qaisar Ali, Vice Chancellor of UET Peshawar, visited the event and commended the students’ dedication and efforts.
The event concluded with a closing ceremony attended by esteemed guests, including Prof. Dr. Hamid Ullah as Chief Guest, Engr. Adnan Rasheed, Dr. Aamir Saeed, Dr. Tufail Habib, Engr. Usman Khan, Dr. Arshad, Prof. Dr. Gul Muhammad Khan, Dr. Taimur Ali Shams, Dr. Muhammad Ayaz Ahmad, Miss Nimra Saddiqi, Engr. Riaz Hussain, and others. Shields and certificates were awarded to judges, speakers, sponsors, organizers, and winners of various competitions, marking the successful end of ASME EFx UET Peshawar 2025.
