Rawalpindi (Khyber Mail): In a significant step towards enhancing bilateral relations, General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, met with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
The high-level meeting focused on the evolving regional environment and pressing security issues. Both leaders expressed a strong commitment to broadening the scope and depth of existing military engagements and cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain.
General Shaikh Mohammed praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. His visit was marked by a ceremonial ‘Guard of Honour’ presented by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent upon his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters.
This meeting underscores the growing partnership between the two nations, aiming to foster greater collaboration in defense and security.
