TEL AVIV (Agencies): Israeli military think tank Alma has published a report claiming that Iran has successfully established new logistical supply lines to provide energy and weapons to Hezbollah, circumventing traditional routes that have faced increased scrutiny. The report highlights a multifaceted network involving indirect flights, maritime routes, and overland smuggling operations.

According to Alma, Iran is reportedly using indirect flights via Turkey and Iraq to transport individual weapon components, which can then be assembled locally to avoid detection during inspections in Lebanon. Additionally, the report alleges that Iran has developed sea smuggling routes, sending weapons to Sudan and then transporting them through Libya to the Mediterranean, where weapons caches are picked up by Hezbollah.

The think tank also claims that maritime operations include weapons being dumped at sea for later retrieval by Hezbollah operatives. Alma warns that Iran is exploiting the chaos in regions like Sudan and Libya to facilitate these operations, ensuring a steady flow of supplies to Hezbollah despite regional challenges.

The findings underscore the adaptability of Iran’s strategies to sustain its support for Hezbollah, highlighting a growing network of logistical channels amid ongoing geopolitical tensions. Let me know if you’d like further analysis or perspectives on this development.
