Islamabad (Khyber Mail): A tragic incident occurred near the Moroccan port of Dakhla, where a boat carrying 80 passengers, including several Pakistani nationals, capsized after departing from Mauritania, according to the Pakistan Foreign Office on Thursday.

Survivors, including Pakistani nationals, are currently housed in a camp near Dakhla. Pakistan’s embassy in Rabat has mobilized resources to assist the affected individuals. A team from the embassy has been dispatched to Dakhla to provide support, and local authorities are working closely with the embassy to facilitate the survivors.

The Foreign Office has activated its Crisis Management Unit (CMU) to coordinate relief efforts. “The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister have instructed all relevant government agencies to extend maximum assistance to the affected Pakistani nationals,” a spokesperson stated.
