KABUL (Agencies): A Falcon 10-passenger aircraft has reportedly disappeared from radar detection in the mountainous region of Afghanistan, near its border with Tajikistan.
The disappearance was first reported by Tolo News TV channel, which suggested that the aircraft, originating from India, had met with an unfortunate accident in the mountains. An investigative team has since been dispatched to the area.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning, according to the broadcaster. The Russian aviation authority later confirmed that the aircraft was registered in Russia and was en route to Moscow’s Zhukovsky airport from India, with a stopover in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Preliminary reports indicate that there were six individuals on board the aircraft, including four crew members.
In the wake of this incident, Russia is actively collaborating with the authorities of Afghanistan and Tajikistan in the ongoing search for the missing aircraft.
