Islamabad (Agencies): The bilateral module of Exercise Indus Shield 2024, known as Indus Shield-Chinese, has concluded at an operational air base of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
This exercise saw the participation of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) of China, featuring high-tech equipment and personne.
The exercise involved advanced Chinese equipment, including AESA Radar, Long Range BVR Equipped J-16 & J-10C fighter aircraft, HQ-22 Surface to Air Defence system, YTG-9 Airborne Electronic Warfare Platform, and KJ-500 Airborne Early Warning system.
These were pitched against PAF’s J-10C and JF-17 Block-III fighter jets, simulating contemporary aerial combat scenarios.
The successful execution of this large-scale exercise demonstrated the joint operational readiness of the PAF and PLAAF, addressing contemporary security challenges.
