Baghdad, Iraq (Agencies): Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, and his delegation to discuss areas of mutual cooperation. The meeting focused on security, counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, military industry localization, training, and the application of artificial intelligence.

Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized Iraq’s commitment to fostering new partnerships with Pakistan, building on their strong historical, social, cultural, and economic ties. He also highlighted the urgent need for unity among Arab and Islamic nations to end the aggression on Gaza and prevent the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.

General Mirza conveyed the greetings of the Pakistani Prime Minister and commended Iraq’s achievements in countering terrorism, advancing economic development, and rebuilding infrastructure. He praised Iraq’s constructive regional role in promoting security and stability.
