Quneitra, Syria (Agencies): Syrian sources have reported that Israeli troops, accompanied by tanks and armored vehicles, crossed into the Quneitra Governorate of southwestern Syria this morning. The incursion reportedly captured approximately 500 meters along the border fence with the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
The advance into Quneitra marks a significant escalation in the region, with Israeli forces annexing new areas into Israel. Local sources indicated that the Israeli troops entered the village of Kodana in the southern countryside of Quneitra, supported by bulldozers and armored vehicles mounted with machine guns.
The incursion took place in full view of Syrian government forces stationed at the village of Tel al-Ahmar Gharbi, who subsequently withdrew to higher ground.
