Dear Editor,

I would like to draw attention to the ongoing construction on the University of Karachi Road, which has been a source of severe inconvenience for residents and commuters for the past 1.5 years. The road has been under construction to build a bridge (pull), but the project seems to be progressing at an unreasonably slow pace.

The extended construction period is causing daily hardships for those who rely on this route to reach their workplaces, schools, and other destinations. Traffic jams, dust, and unsafe road conditions have become the norm, with no end in sight. These delays are not only affecting people’s schedules but also posing risks to health and safety.

Given the importance of this road as a major artery for thousands of commuters, the extended duration of the project is unacceptable. I urge the concerned authorities to expedite the construction and ensure that the project is completed promptly to alleviate the distress of the people who rely on this route.

Your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated, as it reflects the urgency of resolving this issue for the benefit of the public.

Sincerely,

Areeba Fatima Rao
Karachi
