Islamabad (Khyber Mail): Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived in Pakistan today for a three-day official visit. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended a heartfelt welcome, with children dressed in traditional attire presenting bouquets. A static guard of honor and a 21-gun salute underscored the warmth of the reception.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with federal cabinet members, joined in greeting the visiting dignitary. Premier Ibrahim’s high-level delegation will engage in discussions with Pakistan’s leadership, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties. The agenda includes trade, connectivity, energy, agriculture, the halal industry, tourism, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people contacts.

Both leaders are expected to address regional and global developments during this significant visit. The Foreign Office emphasized the historical, cultural, and faith-based foundation of Pakistan-Malaysia relations, highlighting the opportunity for further enhancement.
