Gaza City (Agencies): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine has welcomed the establishment of the Hague Group and its historic declaration, adopted this Friday after close consultations with Palestine.
This declaration marks a significant development in the collective efforts of states and world leaders to protect and promote international law and institutions, particularly at a time when they face grave threats. The Hague Group has committed to achieving justice and accountability in Palestine to protect and preserve the foundations of the law-based international order.
The Ministry emphasized that this commitment is rooted in the core values embodied in international law, which reject exceptionalism and impunity as threats to global stability. The declaration comes at a crucial time when some international actors threaten to unravel the international system to preserve Israeli exceptionalism, criminality, and impunity.
Palestine will continue to stand firm in defending these values, reflecting the Palestinian people’s core beliefs. The Ministry stated that accountability for all crimes and criminals is essential for humanity’s preservation. Palestine will work with all partners to uphold these values and invites all states sharing this commitment to join the global coalition for justice.
