Rawalpindi (Khyber Mail): General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), has reiterated the nation’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism.
In a statement released by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday, the COAS emphasized that terrorism would never be tolerated and that the mission to eliminate it would be pursued with full national resolve and collective determination.
General Munir highlighted the importance of the steadfast support of all Pakistanis, alongside the efforts of military and civil institutions, to secure a peaceful and prosperous future for the country. He underscored that the fight against terrorism required unity and dedication from every citizen.
Earlier, Namaz-e-Janaza for the Shuhada, who embraced martyrdom in a suicide blast targeting innocent citizens and passengers at Quetta Railway Station, was offered in Quetta Garrison. The funeral was attended by General Syed Asim Munir, Federal Minister of Interior, Governor and Chief Minister Balochistan, provincial ministers, and a large number of military and civilian officials.
Following the funeral, the COAS visited CMH Quetta to meet with the injured victims of the tragic incident. Upon his arrival, he was received by the Commander Balochistan Corps.
