Peshawar (Khyber Mail): Pakistan has officially commenced construction on the 77-kilometer White Oil Pipeline project, a significant step forward in the country’s energy infrastructure development. This project is being advanced with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
The White Oil Pipeline, a key initiative led by Pakistan State Oil (PSO), Pakistan Refinery Limited (PARCO), and the Inter-State Gas System, aims to enhance the efficiency of oil transportation across the country. The pipeline will connect key locations, including Machike, Thalian, and Taru Jabba, and is expected to significantly reduce transportation costs and improve the supply of petroleum products.
The project, which runs parallel to the motorway, will initially have a capacity of 7 million tonnes per year, with the potential to expand to 10 million tonnes. It is designed to reduce reliance on road transportation, minimize environmental impact, and prevent fuel adulteration.
The construction of the White Oil Pipeline is a testament to the government’s commitment to advancing Pakistan’s petroleum sector and ensuring a more reliable and cost-effective fuel supply.
