TARBELA GHAZI (By: Dr. Pervaiz Awan): Faisal Waqas, a distinguished sportsman and footballer associated with the Tarbela Dam Project, has added another feather to his cap by completing his M.Phil in Sports Sciences from Muslim Youth University Islamabad. Faisal graduated with an A-1 grade, securing the top position in the university.
Faisal, who serves as the Programming Secretary of the WAPDA Tarbela Sports Committee and is an Associate Engineer on the Tarbela 5th Extension Project (T-5), has a rich educational and professional background. He is the nephew of Abdul Malik, Assistant Private Secretary to the Chief Engineer and Project Director of the T-5 project, and the son of Dr. Pervez Awan, a renowned journalist and former President of the Press Club Ghazi.
Faisal’s early education was completed at WAPDA Senior Model School Tarbela, WAPDA Postgraduate College Tarbela, and Ghazi Technical Institute Ghazi. He also contributed to the teaching department at Ghazi Technical Institute for five years and served as an administrator.
Looking ahead, Faisal Waqas plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Sports Sciences, continuing his journey of academic and professional excellence.
