Peshawar (Khyber Mail): Farman Khan of Sui Southern Gas claimed the trophy in the Tour de Peshawar cycle race, with Sui Southern Gas dominating the event by securing four positions.

The awards ceremony was graced by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Syed Fakhar Jihan as the chief guest. Provincial Higher Education Meena Khan Afridi, Special Assistant to CM on C&W Sohail Afridi, MNA Shahid Khattak, Secretary Sports Zia-ul-Haq, DG Sports Abdul Nasir, and the President of Pakistan Cycling Federation and Asian Cycling Confederation, Syed Azhar Ali Shah, also attended. They distributed trophies and cash prizes among the players.

The Tour de Peshawar race officially started from the Attock Bridge in Khairabad Nowshera with MPA Muhammad Idrees Khattak inaugurating the event by waving the flag to send off the cyclists. More than 150 cyclists from across the country participated in the 70-kilometer race, which concluded in front of the Chamkani Police Station.

Farman Khan clinched first place with a time of 1 hour 27 minutes and 56 seconds. Yousaf Khan secured second place with a time of 1 hour 27 minutes and 57 seconds, while Aqib Shah came third with 1 hour 27 minutes and 58 seconds. Sindh’s Danish Khan took fourth place with 1 hour 27 minutes and 59 seconds, while SSGC’s Ali Ilyas finished fifth in 1 hour 30 minutes and 25 seconds.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Sanaullah came sixth with a time of 1 hour 30 minutes and 26 seconds, followed by Bikeistan Cycling Academy’s Shabbir Hussain in seventh place with 1 hour 30 minutes and 27 seconds. Mohsin Khan finished eighth with 1 hour 30 minutes and 28 seconds, Crank’s Hashir Khan came ninth with 1 hour 30 minutes and 29 seconds, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Farooq completed the top ten with 1 hour 30 minutes and 30 seconds.
