Islamabad (Khyber Mail): Faysal Bank Limited (FBL), one of Pakistan’s leading Islamic banks, has launched the “Faysal Islami Remittance Agahi Programme,” a nationwide roadshow aimed at promoting awareness of legal remittance channels. This initiative, hosted in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan’s Pakistan Remittance Initiative (PRI), seeks to educate communities about the critical role of remittances in supporting Pakistan’s economy, discourage the use of informal channels for sending money, and ensure fast and efficient fund transfers.
The first event of the programme was held in Mandi Bahauddin and attended by senior officials from the Pakistan Remittance Initiative (PRI) of the State Bank of Pakistan. More events are planned across Pakistan to reach a wider audience.
“We at Faysal Bank recognise the challenges in raising awareness about secure and lawful remittance channels, including limited understanding and reliance on informal methods,” said Mr. Ziad Aftab Ejaz, Head – Global Home Remittance. “Through the ‘Faysal Islami Remittance Agahi’ programme, we aim to address these issues by educating communities on the benefits of legal remittance channels. This initiative underscores our commitment to supporting Pakistan’s economy and ensuring safe, efficient fund transfers for overseas Pakistanis and their families.”
The programme aligns with FBL’s broader vision to enhance financial inclusion and promote sustainable national economic growth by providing secure and reliable remittance solutions through its Tez Tareen Remittance service. The event featured interactive sessions and performance awards, honouring families who utilise FBL’s remittance services.
