Peshawar (Khyber Mail): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi met with Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Rubina Khalid, at the Governor House to discuss financial aid for underprivileged communities in the province.
During the meeting, Chairperson Rubina Khalid briefed the governor on various ongoing programs under BISP in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The discussion also focused on enhancing transparency in the financial assistance and support mechanisms of BISP.
Additionally, both officials deliberated on acquiring land for a BISP office in Peshawar to facilitate program operations.
Governor Kundi emphasized that BISP is a crucial initiative for the welfare of marginalized segments of society. He highlighted the program’s significant role in empowering women, promoting children’s education, and contributing positively to the healthcare sector.
He also stressed the need to establish model BISP offices across the country to enhance service delivery and outreach.
