PESHAWAR (Khyber Mail): In a significant move aimed at preserving the rich heritage of Bannu District, Secretary Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Shahidullah Khan, led a crucial meeting to discuss the reconstruction of the historic Government High School No. 2 (Islamia). This nearly 100-year-old institution holds a special place in the region’s educational development.
Championing the cause of this heritage site, Chairman of e-Hujra BannuGul, Mr. Asif Qureshi, and his dedicated team, despite facing previous resistance, have successfully advocated for the school’s reconstruction. Their persistent efforts have culminated in plans to proceed with the project.
During the meeting, Mr. Khan underscored the importance of preserving the school’s historical and cultural significance while integrating modern amenities to cater to contemporary educational needs. He directed officials to expedite the project, ensuring timely completion while maintaining quality and heritage integrity.
