Peshawar (Khyber Mail): The highly anticipated two-day International Conference on Innovation in Computing Technologies and Information Sciences (ICTIS-25) began today at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar. Organized by the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) in collaboration with the Department of Computer System Engineering, the event aims to bring academia, industry leaders, and researchers together to discuss advancements in computing technologies and information sciences.

The conference was inaugurated by the Provincial Minister for Higher Education, Archives, and Libraries, Meena Khan Afridi. Addressing attendees, Afridi lauded the initiative, emphasizing its role in fostering learning and collaboration. He highlighted the provincial government’s commitment to updating curricula with market-oriented subjects and underlined the importance of higher education in addressing societal and economic challenges.

Dr. Nasru MinaAllah, Director of ORIC and Chief Organizer, shared his vision for the conference, aiming to enlighten participants on emerging trends in the tech world. UET Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Ali and other prominent figures, including Dr. Jehangir Durrani, Vice Chancellor of Iqra National University, and senior academics like Dr. Jamil Ahmed and Dr. Farzand Ali Khan, also graced the occasion.

Prof. Dr. Rizwan M. Gul, Senior Dean at UET, expressed optimism about the conference’s impact on academic and professional development. He referred to the platform as a cornerstone for exchanging ideas, innovative methodologies, and groundbreaking discoveries.

With active participation from faculty, industry professionals, and students, ICTIS-25 is set to contribute significantly to the fields of computing and information sciences. The event promises vibrant discussions, insights into modern trends, and strategies to address contemporary challenges in the sector.
