Bahawalpur (Khyber Mail): Prof. Dr. Muhammad Atif, Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, along with his team, visited the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the visit, they discussed the application process for obtaining a license to import genetically modified organisms for feed and processing with the Chamber’s President, Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali Maan.

The meeting was attended by several key members of the Chamber, including Senior Vice President Hanif Ahmed, Vice President Adeel Khalid, Malik Muhammad Ijaz Nazim, Ex-President Javed Iqbal Chaudhry, Muhammad Munib Malik, Bilal Sattar Chaudhry, Sajjad Haider, and Naseer Ahmed Nasir.

The discussions aimed to foster collaboration between the university and the local business community, focusing on the regulatory aspects and potential benefits of importing genetically modified organisms for feed and processing.
