PESHAWAR (Khyber Mail): In a landmark decision, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, has approved the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Servants Housing Foundation Act 2025 during its 30th meeting. The act aims to provide affordable housing solutions to government employees across the province.

The bill, presented by the Secretary of Housing, outlines the establishment of a structured housing foundation under government supervision. The primary objective is to offer residential plots to all government employees, enabling them to secure affordable housing through minimal deductions from their salaries.

This initiative is seen as a historic step by the provincial government and a gift to its employees, addressing a long-standing demand that has been pursued by employee organizations since 1990. The act aligns with the government’s vision of “Housing for All,” which aims to ensure quality and affordable housing for every resident of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Chief Minister Gandapur emphasized the importance of expanding housing projects to benefit provincial employees and the general public. He highlighted the need for federal support in establishing housing societies to provide enhanced facilities for government servants.

The approval of the act marks a significant milestone in the province’s efforts to improve living standards and promote economic stability through organized housing initiatives. Further developments are expected as the government moves forward with implementing the act and launching related projects.
