Peshawar (Khyber Mail): In a significant move to improve the quality of life in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s merged districts, the KP Apex Committee held a meeting today in Peshawar, chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur. The meeting, attended by Corps Commander Peshawar, the Chief Secretary, the Inspector General of Police, and other high-ranking civil and military officials, focused on socio-economic development and the enhancement of public services.
The committee emphasized the need to allocate more financial resources towards the rapid social development of the merged districts. This initiative aims to uplift the region by providing better infrastructure, healthcare, and educational facilities, thereby improving the overall quality of life for its residents.
Additionally, the Apex Committee resolved to continue the collaborative efforts of the civil government, security forces, and local communities to combat terrorism in the province. An important decision was also made to support the families of martyrs from the security forces, with packages set to be distributed to the families of 178 martyrs who lost their lives in the past six months.
Moreover, the committee highlighted the importance of maintaining law and order in the Kurram district, pledging to use all available resources to protect the life and property of its citizens. This concerted effort underscores the provincial government’s commitment to fostering peace, stability, and development in the region.
