Peshawar (Khyber Mail): Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has announced that the provincial government will provide all possible financial assistance to those affected by recent heavy rains. In a heartfelt statement made in Peshawar today, the Chief Minister assured the public that the government stands firmly with the affected individuals during this critical time.

Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives due to rain-related incidents, Gandapur emphasized that the government will not abandon the affected people. He directed the district administration and the relief department to expedite immediate relief efforts to ensure timely support for those in need.

The Chief Minister’s directives come in response to the severe weather conditions that have caused significant damage across various districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Reports indicate that heavy rains and subsequent flooding have led to road closures, particularly in Upper Dir district, where the Thall-Kumrat and Patrak-Kumrat roads have been rendered impassable.

In addition to financial aid, the government is mobilizing resources to restore infrastructure and provide medical assistance to the injured. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has been actively involved in rescue and relief operations, working alongside district administrations to mitigate the impact of the disaster.

Chief Minister Gandapur’s commitment to providing comprehensive support underscores the government’s dedication to the welfare of its citizens. He extended his condolences to the families who have lost loved ones and assured them that the government will continue to offer all necessary assistance during this challenging period.
