ISLAMABAD (Agencies) – Pakistan has approved the establishment of twenty new trade posts in China as part of an effort to increase exports and attract foreign investment. The initiative is aimed at strengthening bilateral trade relations and expanding Pakistan’s presence in the Chinese market.
The Ministry of Commerce has allocated 5.5 billion rupees this year to support these trade missions, signaling the government’s commitment to enhancing trade opportunities. Furthermore, the Economic Coordination Committee has approved a grant of 226.7 million rupees to promote foreign investment, with a focus on facilitating Pakistani businesses in exploring new avenues in China.
These new trade posts are expected to play a key role in enhancing economic ties between the two countries, improving Pakistan’s export capacity, and creating investment opportunities in various sectors. The move reflects Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to tap into China’s vast market and leverage the economic opportunities under initiatives such as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
