Quetta (Agencies): Pakistani security forces have successfully neutralized 27 insurgents during a targeted operation in the Kachhi district of Balochistan province, according to an official military statement. The operation, conducted on Monday, was based on precise intelligence and aimed at dismantling a militant hideout.

The military reported that the insurgents were involved in numerous terrorist activities targeting security forces and civilians. The raid also resulted in the destruction of several hideouts and the seizure of significant quantities of arms, ammunition, and explosives, effectively crippling the operational capabilities of the group.

Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest and resource-rich province, has long been a hotspot for separatist movements and militant activities. Various groups, including Baloch separatists and factions of the Pakistani Taliban, have been active in the region, frequently targeting security forces, infrastructure, and development projects.

This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of Pakistan’s security forces to combat insurgency and maintain stability in the region. Officials have emphasized their commitment to conducting intelligence-based operations to dismantle militant networks and ensure the safety of civilians.

The military’s success comes amidst broader efforts to address the region’s challenges, with a focus on balancing security measures with initiatives for political reconciliation and economic development aimed at addressing the underlying causes of unrest in Balochistan.
