Doha (Agencies): In a significant humanitarian effort, Qatar has launched an air bridge from King Abdullah II Air Base in Jordan to Al Qarara in Khan Yunis Governorate, Gaza Strip, to address the urgent humanitarian and medical needs of the population. This initiative complements the land bridge previously established by Qatar.
Since the truce took hold on January 19, Qatar has sent 65 relief trucks through the Jordanian border. The new air bridge aims to further support these efforts, with two helicopter flights carrying vital medical aid set to arrive in north Khan Yunis.
Additionally, Qatar has provided 20,000 tents, which were shipped via a land bridge from Qatar to Jordan. In cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), Qatar is working to deliver these tents to northern Gaza.
This coordinated effort underscores Qatar’s commitment to providing humanitarian aid to Gaza, ensuring that essential supplies reach those in need.
