Stockholm, Sweden (Agencies): The Defence Materiel Administration of Sweden and its Danish counterpart, the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation, have signed a contract with BAE Systems Hägglunds worth SEK 25 billion to procure 205 CV 90 infantry fighting vehicles.
Under this agreement, Denmark will receive 115 new CV9035 MkIIIC vehicles, while Sweden will acquire 50 new vehicles. Additionally, 40 vehicles will be provided to Ukraine, funded by Denmark and Sweden. This contract builds on an initial agreement signed in May 2024 and aims to enhance the combat capabilities of both nations.
The CV 90 infantry fighting vehicle is known for its high level of protection, mobility, and situational awareness, making it a valuable asset for modern military operations. The new version, CV9035 MkIIIC, features an upgraded turret and improved design, offering enhanced effectiveness against enemy targets.
