LONDON (Agencies): Several countries, including Australia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Indonesia, the UAE, and India, have issued travel warnings to their citizens about visiting the UK due to widespread anti-immigration protests. These demonstrations turned violent over the weekend following the murder of three children by a teenager of African descent in Southport, near Liverpool.
Malaysia was the first to issue a notice, urging its citizens to stay away from protest areas and remain vigilant. The Indonesian Embassy in London followed suit, advising caution and avoidance of large crowds. Nigeria’s alert warned of large and unruly demonstrations, while Australia advised a high degree of caution and avoidance of protest areas.
The UAE Embassy in London also urged its citizens to exercise necessary precautions and avoid crowded areas.
India’s High Commission in London issued a warning on Tuesday, advising Indian citizens to stay vigilant and avoid areas where protests may be taking place.
These travel alerts reflect the heightened risk of violence and disorder in the UK due to the ongoing protests
