Kyiv (Agencies): In a significant development, Ukrainian special operations forces have been equipped with the latest AN/PSQ-42 Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binocular (ENVG-B) devices, supplied by the United States. These cutting-edge night vision goggles, which only entered US service six years ago, offer a highly capable hybrid thermal/night vision capability.
The ENVG-B devices combine dual tube image-intensifying (I²) and thermal-imaging technologies into a single goggle, enabling vision in low-light conditions. This advanced technology allows Ukrainian operators to accurately target and neutralize threats, even in challenging environments.
The introduction of these devices marks a significant enhancement in the operational capabilities of Ukrainian special operations forces, providing them with superior situational awareness and target acquisition abilities.
